Time to collect data
Tomorrow we take off to Antarktika. We fill first travel from San Diego to Christchurch, New Zealand. In Christchurch we will receive our warm Antarctic cloth and get first instructions for our flight to the McMurdo station. We will stay in Antarctica for 5-6 weeks to collect data of seismometers that have been out on the Ross Ice Shelf for one complete year. With the year around seismometer data we want to understand the effects of ocean waves on the ice shelf.
If you want to know how we are doing you can have a look at the blog of our project webpage. Hopefully we find enough time to keep you up to date about our work on the Ross Ice Shelf.
