Recovery Region

The FIRNATEK project is a project at the Norwegian Polar Institute (NPI) in cooperation with the IceGrav project and the PolaGap project lead by Rene Forsber at the Technical Univeristy of Denmark (DTU) in cooperation with the British Antartic Survey (Fausto Ferraccioli, Tom Jordan, Hugh Corr). Within these projects extensive data sets were measured within the Recovery Region and around South Pole using different geophysical methods. Within the project at NPI we analyse the radar data, improving our knowledge of the bed topography and the basal processes within the Recovery Region and for the giant Recovery Lakes.
